The Necessity of the Second Birth

John 3:3 and 5 (3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus, here in His Word, expresses the importance of the second birth in order to make it to heaven. In this day in which we live folks trust in many different things whether it be church affiliations, baptism, confirmation, traditions of men and etc..

All of us will come to the time that we face eternity. At this time we will either be ushered into Christ’s presence in heaven or into the lake of fire with the devil and his angels. So the main question of life must be “Are we born again?”.

The Bible says in Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

We all are worthy of nothing more than death and hell, but Christ, as we see in Romans 5:8;9, died for us that we may have eternal life in heaven with him. Paul writes in Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

If you have not already done so, will you trust Him this day? Please let me know if you have made this step as I would love to rejoice with you and offer any help I can to further your walk with our precious Lord and Saviour.
